What is Operation Thank you Wounded Warrior?

In early 2009 Legion Post 178 under the leadership of then Post Commander Lee Garay started Operation Thank You Wounded Warrior in order for the Post and members of our Tri-State area (NY-CT-MA) to say thank you to those service men and women and their families who have been wounded in the service of our nation.

Is there a differance between the “Wounded Warrior Project” and “Operation Thank You Wounded Warrior”?

Yes there is! The Wounded Warrior Project is a national Veterans Service Organization that does great work for our nations wounded servicemembers. Operation Thank You Wounded Warrior is Post 178 local effort to provide support to our nations wounded servicemembers and their families.

What is the “Wounded Warrior Fund”?

The “Wounded Warrior Fund” is the designated fund that supports not only activities that support Operation Thank You Wounded Warrior, but also supporting injured veterans from all of our nations conflicts past and present, as well as any veteran in need of assistance.
